Goodbye Django

Late last year I sold my beloved Burley Django.

Why? Two reasons:

  1. I had a friend who had injured his back, and was no longer able to ride his upright bike. So I let him try the Django, he liked it, and I let it go at a fair price.
  2. I was no longer riding it. I hadn’t ridden it in over a year, and it didn’t look like I was going to anytime soon.

I kind of hated to see it go, but I’m happy that it went to someone who will ride it and put it to good use. I wasn’t doing that, and it deserved better.

So I let it go, but not before giving it one last short ride:

It truly is a sweet machine, just not for me any more, I’m afraid.

Final stats: About 7,000 miles, from 2006-2011. And a lot of great memories. <sigh>
