As for the seat, it wasn't an issue for me on this ride, as I was sitting on it all the time, and it didn't get wet. The seat on the Burley Django may be a bit smaller than the RANS as well (it's smaller than the one on my EZ-Sport). If I were touring, I'd probably cover the seat during the night. I bought a cheap shower cap that appears like it would work well for this purpose; a garbage bag would work, too. Yes, I have fenders (Planet Bike), and they worked perfectly for me – no splatter fore or aft.
