This is a decent route: From Green Forest, Arkansas, take highway 103 north for about seven miles. It’ll be mostly downhill for 7-8 miles. In my case, I also had a tailwind, which meant a lot of coasting.

At Yokum (nothing but a couple houses and an old storefront left of this town), take county road 625 east. This road is very rough and narrow, but there’s almost no traffic, and it passes over a nice rocky stream three or four times before heading uphill. There’s a pretty good climb (200 ft rise in about a half mile), then a short flat until you hit highway 311.

311 is a good road that even has a shoulder, not that you’ll need it, as there is very little traffic. The road heads south, then jogs east, then south again back into Green Forest. The road rises slightly over the last nine miles, and there are a number of uphills and downhills. I was facing a stiff and gusty headwind from the south, so it was a slow slog for me.

Total: 18 miles, 634 feet of climbing (according to RouteSlip).
